Ravichandran
Ravichandran (* 1940 in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia ; † July 25, 2011 in Chennai , Tamil Nadu , India ) was an Indian actor , screenwriter and film director of Tamil films , mainly from the 1960s and 1970s.
Life
Ravichandran was born PS Raman in Malaysia and came to India for the first time in 1951. He studied at St. Joseph's College in Tiruchirappalli .
He made his film debut in 1964 in Sridhar's CV in Ooty- playing comedy film Kadalikka Neramillai . He starred alongside J. Jayalalithaa in Kumari Penn (1966). In K. Balachander's Kaviyath Thalaivi (1970) - a remake of Asit Sens's Bengali classic Uttar Falguni from 1963 - he stood in front of the camera with S. Janaki and Gemini Ganesan .
Ravichandran was married twice - his first marriage to Malayalam actress Sheela - and had four children. He died of multiple organ failure at Apollo Hospital in Chennai.
