LEDA / PGC 18 is a spiral galaxy with a high rate of star formation of the Hubble type S in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky . It is around 249 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 75,000 light years .

The object is a member of the galaxy group WBL 729 or LGG 485 , a group of galaxies with an average radial velocity of about 5020 km / s. This group also includes PGC 2 , PGC 676 , PGC 73195 and IC 1525 .
