Paaviaaraq Heilmann

Paaviaaraq Mossin Heilmann (born August 18, 1958 ) is a Greenlandic politician ( Siumut ), entrepreneur and skier .

Life

Paaviaaraq Heilmann comes from a family of fishermen from Maniitsoq . He is a nephew of the politician Niels Carlo Heilmann (1927–1991). Ruth Heilmann (* 1945) is the wife of his uncle Ottooraq. He has a son with his wife Maren L. Heilmann. Paaviaaraq Heilmann took second and third place several times at the Greenland ski championships. He later worked as a trainer.

In 1989 he completed an apprenticeship at Niuernermik Ilinniarfik in Nuuk . He then worked as an authorized representative in the accounting department of the KNR . Only one year later he started a position as head of the secretariat at the fishermen and hunters' association KNAPK . In 1995 he was appointed Minister for Fisheries, Hunting and Agriculture. In 1997 he moved to Inatsisartut for Lars-Emil Johansen . In the 1999 parliamentary elections , he did not get a seat. In the 2000s he was CEO and later Director of Royal Greenland .
