Pablo Barragán
Pablo Barragán (* 1987 in Marchena ) is a Spanish clarinetist .
Career
Pablo Barragán studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Manuel Castillo in Seville with Antonio Salguero and at the Barenboim - Said Foundation with Matthias Glander, 1st principal clarinetist of the Staatskapelle Berlin . In 2009 he moved to the Basel Music Academy to continue his studies in François Benda's master class . During his studies he also attended master classes with Martin Fröst , Charles Neidich and Dimitri Ashkenazy .
Since 2007 Pablo Barragán was a member of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Daniel Barenboim . a. invited to teach as a professor at the Barenboim-Said Foundation in the Middle East.
Pablo Barragán performs as a soloist with the Basel Symphony Orchestra , Orquesta de Radio Television Española, Bratislava Sinfonietta, Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga, Orquesta du Chambre Delemont, Orquesta Betica de Camara and New Orchestra Basel . He also appears at numerous festivals across Europe such as the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern , Salzburg Chamber Music Festival, Young Euroclassics Berlin, Davos Festival, Musiksommer Zürichsee or the Montecastelli Pisano Festival under the artistic direction of Heinrich Schiff . In 2013 Barragán made his solo debut at the Lucerne Festival .
As compared to the new music open-minded artist he performed with the soprano Laurence Guillod and the visual artist Leandro Suarez the premiere of "NothingTwoSay" in 2016, which is characterized by texts by John Cage and music by Berio , Sariaaho and Fröst with the physical limits of Communication deals.
Pablo Barragán represents D'Addario , Silverstein and Buffet-Crampon as an artist .
