Pablo Valetti

Pablo Valetti (* before 1991 in Buenos Aires , Argentina ) is a French violinist and conductor of historical performance practice .

Life

Pablo Valetti studied classical violin in Buenos Aires. In 1991 he began studying the baroque violin at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Chiara Banchini and John Holloway , and he took thorough bass lessons with Jesper Christensen .

Since completing his studies, he has been a sought-after soloist and concertmaster who has performed with numerous baroque ensembles such as the “Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla”, Jordi Savall's “Le Concert des Nations” and Hespèrion XXI , the Les Arts Florissants , the Concerto Köln , the “Les Musiciens du Louvre ”under Marc Minkowski , the Collegium Vocale Gent or“ Les Talens Lyriques ”under Christophe Rousset .

In 1998 he and the harpsichordist Celine Frisch founded the Ensemble Café Zimmermann , named after the Leipzig Zimmermann coffee house , where Johann Sebastian Bach and many other musicians rehearsed and performed their latest works. Numerous recordings that the ensemble made for the ALPHA label have won record awards.

Valetti founded the ensemble “The Rare Fruits Council” in 1996 with his fellow Argentinian violinist Manfredo Kraemer. He is also co-founder and first violinist of the “Stylus Phantasticus” ensemble, which was initiated in 2001 by the German viol player Friederike Heumann .

Pablo Valetti taught baroque violin at the "Escola Superior de Musica de Catalunya" in Barcelona and at the Conservatory of Nice. He often plays a violin by Giovanni Battista Guadagnini from 1758, which he has on loan.
