Palwal is a city ( Municipal Council ) in the northwest Indian state of Haryana .

The city is located 55 km south of the federal capital New Delhi . Palwal is the administrative seat of the district of the same name . The city had 154,998 inhabitants at the 2011 census.

The national highway NH 2 leads via Faridabad to Delhi and to Agra in the south .
