National Highway 2 ( NH 2 ) is a major highway in northern India with a length of 1,465 kilometers. It runs through the states of Delhi , Haryana , Uttar Pradesh , Bihar , Jharkhand and West Bengal from Delhi to Kolkata . In the section between Kanpur and Kolkata, the NH 2 follows the course of the historic Grand Trunk Road .
National Highways Development Project
- Almost the entire length of the NH 2 was selected by the National Highways Development Project as part of the Golden Quadrilateral .
- Approximately 253 kilometers between Delhi and Agra have been selected by the National Highways Development Project as part of the North-South Corridor .
- Approximately 35 kilometers between Barah and Kanpur has been selected as part of the East-West Corridor by the National Highways Development Project .
