The Mumbai Pune Expressway (Hindi: मुंबई-पुणे द्रुतगती मार्ग; English: Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway; Marathi : यशवंतराव चव्हाण द्रुतगती मार्ग) is an expressway in India in the state of Maharashtra . The toll road usually has three lanes in each direction and is India's first six-lane concrete expressway. The 93.1 km long road was opened in 2002. The construction costs were approximately 270 million US dollars. The operator is the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation . The vehicle throughput is 43,000 passenger car equivalents .

The road runs from northwest to southeast. In the northwest the road starts at Kalamboli in Panvel (Navi Mumbai) and leads in the southeast to Dehu Road in the Pune district . The cities of Khandala and Lonavla are also connected. The two toll booths are in Khalapur and Talegaon. The road goes through six tunnels: Bhatan, Madap, Adoshi, Khandala, Kamshet-1 and Kamshet-2.
