National Highway 7 ( NH 7 ) is a major highway in India with a length of 2,369 kilometers. It crosses the Indian subcontinent roughly in the middle from north to south. It begins in Varanasi in the state of Uttar Pradesh and leads via Jabalpur , Nagpur , Hyderabad , Bangalore and Madurai to Kanyakumari near the southern tip of India in the state of Tamil Nadu .
