National Highway 44 ( NH 44 ) is a main highway in northeast India with a length of 630 kilometers. It begins in the capital of the state of Meghalaya , Shillong , at NH 40 and after 184 km through this state runs a further 111 km through the neighboring state of Assam . Finally, it leads 335 km through the state of Tripura past its capital Agartala to the border with Bangladesh in Sabroom .
