National Highway 56 ( NH 56 ) is a main highway in the state of Uttar Pradesh in the north of the state of India with a length of 285 kilometers. It begins in the capital of the state of Lucknow and leads via Sultanpur and Jaunpur to the metropolis of Varanasi on NH 29 .
