Pankaj Naram (born May 4, 1955 in Mumbai ; † February 19, 2020 in Mumbai) is an Indian Ayurveda doctor who gained international fame through numerous appearances on television.

life and work

He studied at Bombay University , achieved various degrees in Ayurvedic medicine, and was subsequently registered as a doctor with the Medical Council of Indian Medicine. Then he learned from the Ayurveda doctor and healer Baba Ramdas advanced old healing methods, such as B. Pulse diagnosis .

Naram was director of Ayushakti Ayurveda in Mumbai from 1987 to 2012. He is the founder and director of Ancient Youth Secret, a manufacturer of traditional herbal products.

He gained international fame through his television program Yoga for You , of which over 3000 episodes have been broadcast in 169 countries by Zee TV since 2008 . The program Ancient Healing has been broadcast by the broadcaster Colors TV since 2016 . In both programs, Naram provided health tips based on diet, lifestyle and traditional home remedies .

After the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 , Naram provided rescue workers and helpers who had suffered health damage from smoke and toxic gases during the rescue work at the World Trace Center with Ayurvedic medicine and treatments. An accompanying independent scientific study determined the effectiveness of the Ayurvedic medicine used.

For his humanitarian work, especially for his commitment to the rescue forces of September 11, 2001, Naram was awarded the title Humanitarian of the Year Award by the Parliament of New Jersey .

Since 2017, Naram has been teaching health literacy and health education at the Steinbeis Transfer Institute at the Steinbeis University Berlin SHB.

Naram died on February 19th in Mumbai.
