Kwashi or Pancrazio lily ( Pancratium trianthum ) is a plant of the genus pancratium ( Pancratium ) within the family of Amaryllidaceae family (Amaryllidaceae). It is used as a psychoactive plant.
description
The pancreatic lily is a perennial herbaceous plant . As a persistent organ, it forms a membranous onion . The linear foliage leaves usually appear at the same time as the flowers. On an upright, strong inflorescence stem there is a terminal, umbellate inflorescence. The hermaphrodite flowers are threefold. The bracts are white.
distribution
The distribution area of the pancreatic lily extends from the Sahara to West Africa and into northern tropical Africa.
Ingredients and effects
Hordenine , Lycorin , Trispheridin , tazettine . The plant parts are highly poisonous. It can lead to paralysis.
Kwashi is consumed as a drug ( ritual meaning) by some tribes in Africa . The onion can be placed on wounds and eczema .
Legal position
In Germany, Kwashi is not subject to the BtMG .
