Paparore is a small settlement in the Far North District of Northland on the North Island of New Zealand .
geography
The settlement is located around 7.5 km northwest of Awanui on the west side of Rangaunu Harbor . From here the Aupōuri Peninsula extends north. The closest settlement is Waipapakauri , around 4 km further south. The nearest larger town, Kaitaia , is around 15 km south and can be reached via New Zealand State Highway 1 , which passes the settlement just under 2 km west.
economy
The main source of income for the settlement is the dairy industry.
Education
With the Paparore School, the settlement has a primary school with grades 1 to 6. In 2014, 160 students attended the school.
