Porfírio Pardal Monteiro
Porfírio Pardal Monteiro (* 1897 in Pêro Pinheiro , Sintra , † 1957 in Lisbon ) was a Portuguese architect. Together with a group of architects such as Cottinelli Telmo , Cassiano Branco , Carlos João Chambers Ramos, Luís Cristino da Silva and Jorge Segurado, he initiated the transition to modernity in Portugal .
1910-1919 he studied at the Lisbon School of Art (Escola de Belas Artes de Lisboa), where he was a student of José Luís Monteiro and at the same time worked in the studio of Miguel Ventura Terra . He has been awarded the Prémio Valmor several times .
