Parioli
The 2nd Parioli municipality is one of the 19 municipalities of the city of Rome . It lies north of the old town and is bounded by the Tiber to the west and north and the Aniene to the east.
Parioli has (as of 2006) 122,912 inhabitants on an area of 13.67 km² and includes the following districts:

Parioli is one of the most expensive residential areas in Rome. It was settled from 1911 and named after Monte Parioli (59 m). Parioli is characterized by numerous parks and green spaces such as Villa Borghese and Villa Ada . The district is home to a number of important sports and cultural facilities such as the Stadio Flaminio , the Palazzetto dello Sport and the former Olympic Village, as well as the Auditorium Parco della Musica , the MAXXI art museum and the Mosque of Rome , the second largest mosque in Europe outside of Turkey.
