Park Kye-hoon (born February 9, 1992 in Gyeongsang ) is a South Korean ice hockey goalkeeper who has been playing for the Daemyung Sangmu team since 2017 .

Career

Park Kye-hoon began his career on the Gyeong-seong High School crew . Since 2011 he has been in the can for the Korea University team in the South Korean college league. In 2014 he was named Best Goalkeeper and Most Valuable Player of the College Cup. From 2016 to 2017 he was under contract with High1 in the Asia League Ice Hockey before moving to the Daemyung Sangmu military club.

International

At the international level, Park Kye-hoon represented his home country in both the junior and senior sectors. He played at the U18 World Cup in Division I in 2010 . He also guarded the U20 World Cup in Division II in 2012 , when he was named the best player of his team with the second best catch rate of all goalkeepers in the tournament, and the goal of the South Koreans at the U20 tournament of the Challenge Cup of Asia 2012 .

For South Korea's men's selection , he first took part in the 2015 World Cup when he was used in the 7-3 opening game against Estonia and thus contributed to the Asians' promotion from group B to group A in Division I. At the 2017 Asian Winter Games , he finished second with the South Koreans behind Kazakhstan , but without having played himself. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in his own country, he was also part of the South Koreans' squad, but was not used again.
