Park Si-yeon (born March 29, 1979 in Busan , South Korea ), real name Park Mi-seon ( 박미선 ), is a South Korean actress . She took part in the Miss Korea election in 2000 and used this as a springboard for an acting career. At first she played minor roles in Chinese television series. Finally, in 2005, her first major role followed in the South Korean series My Girl . For her performance in the film The Fox Family (2006), she received the Paeksang Arts Award for best young actress .

She plays the lead role in the crime thriller The Scent (2012).

Park married in 2011 and has had a daughter since 2013. At the time of her pregnancy, Park was also on trial for propofol abuse . Her agency denied the allegations on the grounds that it would be medical use due to back pain. In October 2013, Park was found guilty and sentenced to eight months in prison and two years probation. In 2015 she gave birth to a second daughter.

In May 2016, she announced that she wanted to get a divorce.
