Pascal Maier (born February 20, 1985 in Munich ) is a former German American football player . He played in Braunschweig for the New York Lions on the position of wide receiver .

Maier is from Munich. From 2000 to 2002 he played for the Fursty Razorbacks in Fürstenfeldbruck and from 2003 to 2004 for the Munich team of the NFA Monarchs. He was a member of the Bavarian youth team, but missed participation in the 2004 European Junior Championships in Moscow due to an injury .

In the men's area he played for the Munich Cowboys from 2005 to 2009 . There he was elected Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2009, but moved to the Plattling Black Hawks within the league after relegation in the GFL . There the team failed in the quarter-finals against the eventual runner-up Berlin Adler . Maier switched to the Swarco Raiders Tirol in 2011 , where he won the Austrian Championship ( Austrian Bowl ) with the team and then won the Eurobowl against the reigning defending champion Berlin Adler . In the following season he moved to the Swiss team of the Calanda Broncos. There he won the Swiss championship and the final of the European Football League against the record winner Vienna Vikings . In the 2013 season he played for the New York Lions in Braunschweig and won the German Bowl XXXV (German Championship) with a 35-34 win against the Dresden Monarchs . Then he ended his career.

Maier was appointed to the German national team and became European champion in 2010. At the American Football World Cup in Austria in 2011, he finished fifth with the German team after a 21:14 win against France as the best European team.
