Patricia Garfield

Patricia Garfield (born August 31, 1934 ) is an American psychologist and dream researcher . She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area , married to a psychotherapist . She started her dream diary at the age of 14 in 1949 and has continued it for over 50 years, with over 20,000 dream records today.

Life

Patricia Garfield founded the Society for the Study of Dreams (ASD) with five other dream experts, which today includes over 900 prominent dream interpreters, researchers and writers worldwide.

In 1968, after studying psychology at Temple University in Philadelphia ( Pennsylvania , USA), she received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology, followed by several years of teaching at Temple University and other colleges across the United States , including the University of California, Berkeley , University of California, San Diego , University of California, Irvine, and University of California, Santa Cruz , as well as in India ( Jaipur ), Holland ( Leiden ) etc.
