Patricia Paay
Patricia Anglaia Margareth Paaij (born April 7, 1949 in Rotterdam ), better known as Patricia Paay , is a Dutch singer , radio presenter , model and TV personality with Indonesian roots. She is known in the Netherlands for her musical career that spanned more than four decades. She can be seen regularly on Dutch television and featured in the Dutch tabloids.
Personal life
She met Adam Curry and retired from music in the Netherlands in the mid-1980s to work in the United States and in the development of Adam's career. She now lives in the UK . Their daughter Christina Curry lives in Los Angeles while her ex-husband Adam lives in Austin , Texas . Paay sang many of the popular music remixes of the Stars on 45 and was a member of the spin-off series Star Sisters with her sister Yvonne Keeley .
Career
She is very popular in the Netherlands and perhaps her best-known song in English is her 1977 cover version of the Robert Knight hit Everlasting Love from her album The Lady Is a Champ . The song was written by Buzz Cason and Mac Gayden and is best known for the band The Love Affair from 1967. A hit in the German charts was the title Who's that Lady with my man , also from 1977. Her first German-language song Record Today I see him / Pictures and Letters was released in 1968 under the name Patty Pay .
In 1984 Paay was the first glamor model in the Dutch edition of Playboy . The second time was in 1996 and in November 2009 it was announced that she would be photographed for the December 2009 issue of the Dutch version of the magazine at the age of 60. It was the third time she was in front of the camera for Playboy .
In 2008 Paay was a member of the jury for the Dutch casting show Holland’s Got Talent, known in Germany as Das Supertalent . She currently works for the TV station SBS 6 . In the past she was also a member of the jury of Idols for the Dutch version of DSDS and the Dutch version of X Factor .
