Patricia Polifka

Patricia Polifka (born November 8, 1984 in Gera ) is a former German bobsleigh driver . It started for the BSR Rennsteig Oberhof .

Life

Polifka has been an athlete who has been active in bobsleigh since 2005 and was one of Claudia Schramm's pushers alongside Stefanie Szczurek and Nicole Herschmann until the 2006/07 season . Her greatest success with Schramm was second place at the Altenberg World Cup race in 2006.

In the 2007/08 season Polifka switched to the newly founded bobsleigh team of Anja Schneiderheinze-Stöckel . The team won three European Cup competitions and also won the overall European Cup standings. Together with Stefanie Szczurek, Polifka started at the Junior World Championships. They won the silver medal with five hundredths behind the winning bobsleigh of Swiss Fabienne Meyer . She continued these successes at a similar level in the following season and again won three races of the season with Schneiderheinze-Stöckel. The greatest success of his career followed. At the 2009 Bobsleigh World Championships in Lake Placid , she pushed Sandra Kiriasis in the team competition, which she won together with the men's bobsleigh with Thomas Florschütz and Andreas Barucha and the skeleton pilots Frank Rommel and Marion Thees . Schneiderheinze / Polifka won six races of the European Cup in the 2009/10 season, and two races the following season.

Polifka is a student. She is currently working as a physiotherapist in Erfurt.
