Patrick Amoah (born August 18, 1986 ) is a Swedish football player . The striker , who has been under contract in his home country, Spain, France, Belgium and the Netherlands in his career so far, won the Svenska Cup with Djurgårdens IF in 2004 and won the Swedish championship and cup double with the club in 2005 .

Career

Amoah played for Djurgårdens IF as a youngster and went through several Swedish junior selections. In 2004 the striker moved up to the professional squad and made his debut in the Allsvenskan in the summer . While he was in the starting XI six times in his first season, he came in the following season on 17 missions, but all as a substitute.

Therefore, the club decided to loan Amoah to Assyriska Föreningen for the second division season in 2006 . In the Superettan he was used regularly and was able to shine as a four-time goalscorer. For the 2007 season he returned to Djurgårdens IF, but did not get beyond the joker role again.

In December 2007, Amoah left Sweden and after the end of his contract moved to Spain to CA Ciudad de Lorquí in the Segunda División B free of charge . For the fourth division he played half a season and was able to score ten goals in 17 games. Nevertheless, he wanted to leave the club again and received offers from Greece , France and Spain. Ultimately, he signed a two-year contract with Paris FC, which competes in the third-class Championnat de France National .

In 2009 Amoah moved to Belgium for the third division club Royal White Star Woluwe . As the top scorer with 27 goals this season, he led the club into the second division in 2011. He had attracted attention in a higher class, so that the first division promoted Oud-Heverlee Löwen signed him. He signed a two-year contract with the club from Flanders . Ultimately, he only stayed a half series with his new club, as coach Ronny Van Geneugden did not build on him for a long time. At the turn of the year he returned to RWS Woluwe in the second division. With five goals, he contributed to reaching sixth place in the table in the second half of the season. The following year, after the club officially renamed itself RWS Bruxelles in the summer , he scored five goals this season.

In the summer of 2013, Amoah moved to the Netherlands, where he joined the second division Fortuna Sittard in the Eerste Divisie . Here he fluctuated between starting line-up and bench, only in half of the season's games he was on the field at kick-off and ultimately scored four goals of the season. Thereupon the ways parted again after only one season. Subsequently, Amoah was temporarily without a club.

In January 2015, Amoah signed a contract with Swedish third division club Huddinge IF , where he had been training since September of the previous year. At the end of the third division season in 2015 , however, he was relegated to the fourth division with the team from Division 1 , after which he switched to league rivals Vasalunds IF in spring 2016 . With his new club, he was second in the table in the northern season and thus qualified for the relegation games to the Superettan. There he was in both games against the second division Syrianska FC on the field, with two defeats the promotion to the second division was missed. In January 2017, he extended his contract with the club. At the end of the third division season in 2017 he was relegated to Division 2 with the club , but under the new coach Nebojša Novaković he contributed to the direct resurgence as division 2 championship Norra Svealand . Nevertheless, he left the club at the end of the season and joined the fourth division IFK Haninge in January 2019 .
