Patrick Rigobert Amrhein (born October 20, 1989 in Aschaffenburg ) is a German football player .
Career
Patrick Amrhein began his career in his hometown of Aschaffenburg at SG Strietwald before moving to Viktoria Aschaffenburg . Since 2005 he has played for the A-Juniors of FC Carl Zeiss Jena . The 1.87 m tall midfielder was appointed to the first team by the new coach Henning Bürger from the A-Juniors of FC Carl Zeiss Jena during the winter break 2007/08 . He made his debut in the first team in the first competitive match of the second half of the season in January 2008 in the round of 16 for the DFB Cup against Arminia Bielefeld , when he was on the right wing in the starting lineup.
In the summer of 2010, Amrhein moved to the third division club Eintracht Braunschweig . In Braunschweig, however, the midfielder was only used irregularly. With Mirko Boland , Damir Vrančić , Benjamin Fuchs and Marc Pfitzner , the competition was too big for Amrhein. In total, he came to eleven league appearances for the first team, but without having played a game over the full season. He also played twelve games for the Braunschweig reserve.
After just one year, Braunschweig terminated the contract with Arnhem in the summer of 2011. Shortly afterwards it became known that the midfielder would switch to SpVgg Unterhaching . However, Unterhaching split from Amrhein six months later and moved to the regional division FC Bayern Alzenau .
After half a year in the dress of FC Bayern Alzenau , Amrhein switched to local rivals Viktoria Aschaffenburg . There he was used 21 times in the newly founded Regionalliga Bayern and scored 2 goals.
After a year he moved to Bavaria Wiesen as a player-coach.
Trivia
In August 2008 Amrhein hit the headlines when it became known that he was offering and selling match jerseys, which he received in exchange from other players after games, at the internet auction house ebay .
