Patrick Brauns

Patrick Brauns (born December 3, 1955 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German author and journalist .

Life

Patrick Brauns grew up in Freiburg im Breisgau , Munich and Königstein im Taunus . After completing his community service , he studied Romance studies , political science and linguistics at the University of Konstanz . In 1988 he started working on Political Language in France Times are tough but 'modern'. Linguistic staging of socialist politics in France 1983–1986 for Dr. rer. soc. PhD . He's since 1989 as a freelance writer, journalist, PR - lyricist and tour guides in Konstanz operates.

Act

Since 1992 he has published several books about the Lake Constance region and is known as a travel and non-fiction author, especially for this region.

In 2002 he wrote the book The Mountains Call in the Alps . Alps, languages, myths about mountain names and minority languages in the Alpine region published - one of the few popular scientific publications on these topics.

He also appears in the region with his books on Lake Constance, for example with the talk show “Around the lake in 80 minutes”, as well as with the book published in 2018 about the mountains of Switzerland.
