Patrick James Zurek
Patrick James Zurek (born August 17, 1948 in Wallis , Texas ) is Roman Catholic Bishop of Amarillo .
Life
Patrick James Zurek received from Pope Paul VI on June 29, 1975 . the priesthood for the Diocese of Austin .
Pope John Paul II appointed him on January 5, 1998 auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of San Antonio and titular bishop of Thamugadi . The Archbishop of San Antonio, Patrick Fernández Flores , donated him episcopal ordination on February 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Tyler , Edmond Carmody , and John Edward McCarthy , Bishop of Austin.
On January 3rd, 2008 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . as Bishop of Amarillo, on February 22, 2008 the enthronement took place.
