Patrick McKinney (born April 30, 1954 in Birmingham ) is an English Roman Catholic clergyman and Bishop of Nottingham .

Life

On July 29, 1978, he received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Birmingham through Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Francis Cleary .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Nottingham on May 14, 2015 . He was ordained episcopal by the Archbishop of Westminster , Vincent Cardinal Nichols , on July 3 of the same year; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Liverpool , Malcolm McMahon OP , and the Archbishop of Birmingham , Bernard Longley .

On July 8, 2020, Pope Francis appointed him a member of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue .
