Patrick Mumbure Mutume
Patrick Mumbure Mutume (born October 31, 1943 in Mutare , Northern Rhodesia , today Zimbabwe ; † February 8, 2017 , ibid) was auxiliary bishop in Mutare .
Life
Patrick Mumbure Mutume received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Umtali on September 3, 1972 (today: Diocese of Mutare).
On March 15, 1979 Pope John Paul II named him titular bishop of Arae in Mauretania and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Umtali. The Bishop of Umtali, Donal Raymond Lamont OCarm , ordained him episcopal on June 17th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Delegate to South Africa , Archbishop Edward Idris Cassidy , and the Archbishop of Salisbury , Patrick Fani Chakaipa .
