Patrick Scherrer (born December 20, 1986 in Feldkirch ) is an Austrian football player on the position of midfielder . He currently plays for FC Hard .
Career
Scherrer was a student at the Vorarlberg Football Academy and was a member of the U19 team at the Bundesliga youth center. Scherrer moved from FC Nenzing to SC Austria Lustenau on a free transfer in May 2005 and played there in left midfield. In November 2007, Scherrer was voted Young Star of the Month by a jury made up of coaches from the Austrian Bundesliga and Herbert Prohaska . Prohaska justified this with the fact that Scherrer was "regular player in a hot title contender" and that inevitably means "that he has great talent and good skills on the left wing." On May 26, 2008 Scherrer signed a three-year contract with SK Sturm Graz .
From January 7, 2008, Scherrer did military service with the Austrian Armed Forces and thus only came to a few missions with the Blackies . On July 29, 2008 he made his debut in the Austrian Bundesliga when he came into play for Andreas Hölzl in the 74th minute . Scherrer scored his first Bundesliga goal on November 12, 2008 in a 3-0 away win at LASK Linz in the 94th minute, after being substituted on for Samir Muratović in the 89th minute . He also made three appearances in the UI Cup and two appearances in the ÖFB Cup , where he was also able to score a goal. In addition, Scherrer is in the squad of the Sturm Amateurs, in which he has played five missions to date and scored three goals.
In the 2009/10 season Scherrer played on loan from SCR Altach, who were relegated to the Bundesliga. From the following season onwards, Scherrer will play permanently with the Altachers.
