Patrick Schranner

Patrick Schranner (born March 30, 1991 in Ingolstadt ) is a German racing driver .

Career

Schranner began his motorsport career in karting in 2000 , in which he was active until 2008. Among other things, he won the KF2 ADAC Kart Masters in 2007 and was runner-up in the German Challenger Kart Championship. In 2009 Schranner switched to formula racing and competed for KUG Motorsport in the ADAC Formula Masters . He was sponsored by the ADAC Sports Foundation. In 2010 Schranner stayed with KUG Motorsport and contested his second season in the ADAC Formula Masters. He won five races and was runner-up with 255 to 315 points behind Richie Stanaway , who had dominated the season.

In 2011 , Schranner initially competed in the German Formula 3 Cup for HS Engineering . After the fourth event, he lost his cockpit due to problems with the budget. At the end of the season he finished eleventh overall with three fifth places as the best results and ended his career.

Personal

Schranner has completed an apprenticeship as an automotive mechatronics technician . Since the end of his motorsport career, he has owned two smaller companies.
