Pattensen-Mitte or Pattensen is the Pattens district in the original area of the city of Pattensen in Lower Saxony.

Pattensen (Pattensen-Mitte) is the core city, administrative center and, measured by its 8,820 inhabitants, the largest district in the north of the area of the city of Pattensen and 15 km south of Hanover . Only the Pattens districts Reden and Koldingen are to the north (northeast of Pattensen-Mitte) in the area of the city of Pattensen. Pattensen-Mitte is three kilometers west of the Leine .

The federal road 3 bypasses the settlement area of Pattensen-Mitte as a bypass in an eastern arch that borders the industrial area. The B 3 leads to Hanover and to northern and southern parts of Lower Saxony. The federal highway 443 leads from the B-3 bypass over the Leine near Koldingen through the eastern neighboring town of Laatzen to the eastern part of the Hanover region . Pattensen-Mitte was formed in 1974 as part of the regional reform in Lower Saxony in connection with the law on the municipal reorganization in the Hanover area as a district from the city of Pattensen, when other places were incorporated into the city of Pattensen.
