Patti Basler

Patti Basler (born May 10, 1976 in Zeihen AG) is a Swiss stage poet , author , cabaret artist and satirist .

Live and act

Patti Basler grew up with two sisters on a farm in Zeihen AG in the Fricktal . In 1996 she made the Matura in Aarau and 2000, the teaching diploma for secondary schools at the University of Education FHNW . She then worked as a teacher, educator and teaching aids author and made the licentiate at the University of Zurich in educational sciences , sociology and criminology . In 2015 she finished her studies.

In 2009 Patti Basler took part in a poetry slam for the first time and discovered her passion for it. Since then she has appeared regularly at slams and poetry readings. Patti Basler has lived from her appearances, columns and articles since 2015. She published her texts in numerous media such as the Aargauer Zeitung , the Tages-Anzeiger , the NZZ , the Zeit , the SonntagsZeitung .

Patti Basler appears regularly on radio and television, including on the “Late Update” program with comedian Michael Elsener . She lives at Baden AG .

Triggered by an initiative by Patti Basler on Facebook, Alliance f 2019 created the website she knows , on which experts can register in order to make them easier to find for TV inquiries, panels and podiums.

Awards

Patti Basler has received several awards at poetry slams and talent days. In 2018 she became Vice Swiss Champion in the Poetry Slam.

In 2019 Patti Basler was awarded the Salzburger Stier for Switzerland , the highest cabaret award in German-speaking countries. The jury's reasoning stated: Patti Basler gets to the heart of the linguistic and political contradictions of our time reliably and with a strong fist.
