pauT (born July 21, 1983 in Vienna , real name Paul Schreier) is an Austrian singer-songwriter . He publishes his songs under the Lindo label.

Career

Schreier grew up in Vienna's 10th district . In 1988 he moved with his parents to Baden near Vienna . In his younger years, Schreier learned to play the recorder and clarinet. At the age of 12 he started playing electric guitar and bass.

In 1999 Schreier founded the band "Nasty Crew" with some friends. This was later renamed "West Pole". With Westpol Schreier was able to reach some finals of Austrian music competitions. In 2006 Schreier won the "88.6 Big City Light" contest with the band Westpol. In 2008 Westpol released the first and only album The Elegant Variant . In addition to his musical success with Westpol, Schreier completed a clarinet concert course in 2001 and also began studying electric bass in 2002.

In 2009 pauT joined the band Der Nino from Vienna and founded the solo project pauT at the same time. With pauT he immediately won with the song Sepp said we have to light everything! the FM4 protest song contest 2010. This is followed by a three-month engagement as a musician at the World Expo in Shanghai . From 2010 Schreier worked as a bassist, guitarist and keyboardist in Austrian bands such as Krixi, Kraxi and the Kroxn and Raphael Sas and released albums with them. In 2011 she joined the band Clara Luzia . From 2015 he worked with Paul Gallister on his new album PopsTar from PlasTik , released under his own name , which was then released in August 2018. In advance he published the singles PopsTar from PlasTik (2017) and Who isT the girl with the cool hairstyle (2018).
