Paul-Julien Robert

Paul-Julien Robert (* 1979 in Friedrichshof ) is an Austrian director and photographer .

Paul-Julien Robert was born on the Friedrichshof in Zurndorf and lived there in the commune of Otto Muehl until he was 12 years old . After several years in Zurich, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and at the University of the Arts in Berlin .

For his film Meine keine Familie , which was released in cinemas on April 19, 2013, he received the 2012 Vienna Film Prize in the category “Best Documentary”. My no family was also recognized for best documentary and best editing at the Austrian Film Prize 2014 and won the Grierson Award at the 57th London Film Festival .

Robert lives in Vienna with the director Catalina Molina and his children .
