Paul Choi Duk-ki

Paul Choi Duk-ki (born January 15, 1948 in Pyeongtaek , South Korea ) is a South Korean clergyman of the Roman Catholic Church and former Bishop of Suwon .

Life

Paul Choi Duk-ki was ordained a priest on October 10, 1975 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Suwon diocese . Pope John Paul II appointed him coadjutor bishop of Suwon on January 11, 1996 .

The Bishop of Suwon, Angelo Kim Nam-su , ordained him bishop on February 22nd of the same year; Co - consecrators were Stephen Cardinal Kim Sou-hwan , Archbishop of Seoul , and Victorinus Youn Kong-hi , Archbishop of Gwangju .

After Angelo Kim Nam-su's retirement , he succeeded him on June 4, 1997 as Bishop of Suwon. He resigned from his office on March 30, 2009.
