Paul Clarence Schulte (born March 18, 1890 in Fredericktown , Missouri , USA , † February 17, 1984 ) was Archbishop of Indianapolis .

Life

Paul Clarence Schulte received on 11 June 1915, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On May 29, 1937, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the Bishop of Leavenworth . The Archbishop of Saint Louis , John Joseph Glennon , donated him episcopal ordination on September 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Galveston , Christopher Edward Byrne , and the auxiliary bishop in Saint Louis, Christian Hermann Winkelmann . The inauguration took place on April 28 of the same year.

On July 20, 1946, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the Archbishop of Indianapolis. Paul Clarence Schulte resigned on January 3, 1970 and was named titular archbishop of Elicroca .
