Paul Darius

Paul Darius (born January 24, 1893 in Aachen , † January 28, 1962 in Stuttgart ) was a German architect and university professor , who was best known for the planning and construction of cinemas and theaters .

Life

His employees included u. a. in the 1930s Carl Bimboes . The architect Karl Braun and - as local site manager - the architect Paul Gais were involved in the planning and construction of the Schramberg cinema in 1928.

From 1942 to 1944 Darius was a professor at the State University for Architecture and Fine Arts in Weimar .
