Paul Martin Davis (born February 10, 1958 in Toronto ) is a Canadian - Norwegian sailor .

Paul Davis took part in two Olympic Games for Norway in the boat class Soling . Under skipper Herman Horn Johannessen , he was in Atlanta in 1996 , alongside Espen Stokkeland, on the Norwegian boat that finished the regatta in ninth place. Davis, Stokkeland and Johannessen also formed the crew of the Norwegian participating boat at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney . They finished the preliminary round in the Fleet Race in first place, so that they were directly qualified for the quarter-finals, which took place in the Match Race . In fourth they just reached the semi-finals, in which they were defeated by the Danish boat led by Jesper Bank with 1: 3. In the duel for the bronze medal, they finally prevailed 3-1 against the Netherlands.

Davis was world champion four times in Soling . Now starting under the Canadian flag, he won the title in Marblehead in 2002 , in Toronto in 2009, in 2011 on Lake Chiemsee and in 2012 in Milwaukee . In 2013 he won the silver medal at Lake Balaton .
