Paul Francis Anderson (born April 20, 1917 in Roslindale , Massachusetts , USA , † January 4, 1987 ) was Bishop of Duluth .

Life

Paul Francis Anderson received on 6 January 1943, the sacrament of ordination by the Boston Auxiliary Bishop Richard James Cushing .

On July 19, 1968, Pope Paul VI appointed him . as titular bishop of Polinianum and coadjutor bishop of Duluth. The Bishop of Sioux Falls , Lambert Anthony Hoch , donated him episcopal ordination on October 7 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Duluth, Francis Joseph Schenk , and Auxiliary Bishop Thomas Joseph Riley of Boston.

With the health-related resignation of Francis Joseph Schenk on April 30, 1969, he succeeded him as Bishop of Duluth.

Pope John Paul II accepted on August 17, 1982 his renunciation of the diocese of Duluth and appointed him auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Sioux Falls.
