Hayden

Paul Hayden Desser (born February 12, 1971 in Thornhill , Ontario ) is a Canadian singer-songwriter . He appears as Hayden .

General

His father is Sherwin S. Desser, a former professor of parasitology at the University of Toronto who also does contemporary visual arts. Hayden was at the Ryerson Polytechnical Institute (now Ryerson University ) in Toronto and graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in radio and television in 1993 . His early works are a mixture of grunge and alternative country , including his first full album Everything I Long For , released in 1995 . Since then, his work has become increasingly calm and mature. His last recordings in 2004, Elk Lake Serenade, are almost exclusively calm, acoustic and elaborate. In 1996 Hayden played both nights of Neil Young 's annual Bridge School Concert and in 1998 Hayden toured North America with a full band for "The Closer I Get".
