Paul Horschig (born March 1, 2000 in Görlitz ) is a German football player . The midfielder is on loan from FC Erzgebirge Aue to VfB Auerbach .

Career

Horschig was born in Görlitz and trained at SC Borea and SG Dynamo in Dresden .

In the summer of 2017, Marc Hensel , who moved from Dynamo to FC Erzgebirge Aue as a youth coach , took his player with him and from then on also looked after him in Aue. Horschig played for two years in the A-Junior Regionalliga Nordost and was allowed to take part in the 2019 winter training camp for professionals in Belek, Turkey , under head coach Daniel Meyer . There the midfielder was also used in test matches against the third division clubs Hallescher FC and Hansa Rostock .

On the last match day of the 2018/19 season , Horschig made his first short appearance in the second Bundesliga . The defensive player completed the following preparation for the 2019/20 season again with the professionals and was henceforth part of their squad. After the fourth match day, the Veilchen awarded him to the regional league club VfB Auerbach together with his former A-youth teammate Niklas Jeck until spring 2020 in order to gain match practice . He had already committed Maximilian Schlosser, a third former A-Junior Aues, during the summer break.
