Paul Josupeit (born November 28, 1891 in Wenigsee , East Prussia , † September 7, 1954 in Braunschweig ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Life

Josupeit attended high school in Tilsit and studied law at the Albertus University in Königsberg . In the summer semester of 1911 he became active in the Corps Masovia . In Königsberg he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD . He took part in the First World War, in which he was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class. He entered the Prussian civil service and became a government assessor in Königsberg (Prussia) . In July 1927 he was provisionally elected, in November 1927 he was finally elected district administrator of the Labiau district. After he was deposed by the National Socialists in 1933 , he was managing director of a company in Königsberg. At the end of the Second World War he was taken prisoner by the Soviets , from which he was released after nine years. On December 31, 1953 he came to Braunschweig to die after several strokes .
