Dioramic is a band from Kaiserslautern , founded in 2002 , that mixes metalcore with influences from alternative rock , hardcore punk and screamo .

history

From 2002 to 2004 Dioramic played first concerts and won several band competitions. In November 2004 she recorded her first EP and won the Local Heroes Band Contest . From November 2004 to January 2005 the band worked on their first album Phase of Perplexity , which was released on April 16, 2005 by the Kaiserslautern indie label Daddykate . That same year she was the opener at the Southside Festival.

The published in 2007 Demo -EP was in October 2007 demo of the month in the Visions , in January 2008 demo of the month in the magazine Rock Hard and was in the unclesally * s presented.

In January 2010 the album Technicolor, produced by Kurt Ebelhäuser , was released on Lifeforce Records . Visions drew comparisons with Muse and The Fall of Troy and described the album as "skillful fusion metal". Musikreviews.de called the music by Dioramic a mixture of " Alternative , Progressive , Extreme Metal and Hardcore , [...] and also Posthardcore , Postrock , Soundscapes, Screamo , Emo , Deathcore , Sludge , Independent and Ambient ". Rock Hard wrote "Dioramics are extremely tasteful, technically pleasantly fogged, go around the world as curious people".

After Anton Zaslavski had increasing success as Zedd and Jochen Müller began studying philosophy and German language and literature, they officially left the band in March 2012, which shortly thereafter re-formed with new members.

Paul Seidel, previously a drummer in the Berlin mathcore band War from a Harlots Mouth , has been a permanent member of Dioramic since May 2013 .

In September 2014, the third album Supra was released on Pelagic Records . The recordings for the album began in 2011. The album was financed with the help of a crowdfunding campaign.

style

Rock Hard describes the music as a mixture of alternative, new prog and metalcore and draws comparisons with Muse , The Mars Volta , Dredg and the Deftones .
