Paul Letocha

Paul Letocha (born January 17, 1834 in Radzionkau , Upper Silesia , † February 5, 1911 in Ziegenhals ) was a German lawyer and politician of the Center Party .

Life

Letocha studied in Wroclaw - where he also Corps Silesia Wroclaw was active - and Berlin law and a doctorate on Dr. jur. Later joined the Prussian judicial service. He performed his preparatory service in Ratibor , Breslau and Bromberg . He was district judge in Berlin from 1865 and in Storkow from 1873 . From 1882 he was a district judge in Berlin. His attempt to retire from the judicial service in 1899 failed because he was certified as fit for service. In 1903 he resigned from the civil service as a secret judge.

Politically, Letocha belonged to the Catholic Center Party and was one of the leading politicians of this party. Between 1882 and 1903 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1884 to 1901 of the Reichstag . There he represented the constituency of the administrative district of Opole 6. He was involved in the drafting of the civil code . He was also a member of the Reich Debt Administration .

In addition to politics and work, he was a beekeeper . He was also politically active in the parliaments.
