Paul Pochhammer

Paul Pochhammer (born February 21, 1841 in Neisse ; † March 2, 1916 ) was a Prussian lieutenant colonel and Dante researcher.

Life

Pochhammer joined the Prussian Army in 1859 and worked as a captain in the engineering corps and as a teacher at the War Academy in Berlin. He took part in the campaigns against Denmark in 1864 , against Austria in 1866 and against France in 1870/71 . In the spring of 1888 he had to quit military service due to illness.
