Paul Sommer (politician)
Paul Edmund Gustav Sommer (born March 3, 1864 in Posen , † April 16, 1945 in Burg (near Magdeburg) ) was a German educator and member of the German Reichstag .
Life
Summer attended the Royal Friedrich Wilhelms-Gymnasium , the municipal middle school in Poznan and the school teachers' seminar in Rawitsch . In 1884 he became a teacher in Obudno , Schubin district , until 1893 he was a teacher in Posen, until 1895 rector in Laucha and since 1895 rector in Burg. In 1886 he served in Grenadier Regiment No. 6. He was also chairman of the Magdeburg Teachers 'Association , an employee of the General German Teachers' Newspaper , the school paper of the Province of Saxony , the Pedagogical Newspaper and the German School .
From 1907 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Merseburg 8 Naumburg , Weißenfels , Zeitz and the Free People's Party .
After the First World War , Sommer joined the German Democratic Party , for which he was a member of the Prussian State Constitutional Assembly from 1919 to 1921 . In October 1924, shortly before the end of the legislative period, he came back to the Prussian state parliament as a successor .
From 1920 onwards, Paul Sommer published explanations of ... about 60 issues from the Dr. Wilhelm König's explanations of the classics .
