Paul Weigand

Paul Weigand (born February 19, 1889 in Schlierbach , † February 22, 1940 in Ludwigsburg ) was a German teacher and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a pastor, Weigand studied philology in Tübingen . During his studies in 1907 he became a member of the Roigel fraternity in Tübingen . He took part in World War I , most recently as captain of the reserve . After his studies, he worked as a teacher of Modern Languages at the secondary school active in Ludwigsburg, most recently as teacher . He became a member of the DNVP and was the founder of the Ludwigsburg Steel Helmet and, after it was incorporated into the SA , SA-Sturmbannführer . In 1933 he became a member of the state parliament of the Free People's State of Württemberg , where he belonged to the black-white-red battle front . In 1940 he died of a heart attack.
