Paul Friedrich von Wiedebach and Nostitz-Jänkendorf (born September 21, 1848 in Arnsdorf , Görlitz district ; † March 14, 1923 ibid) was governor of the Prussian margravate of Upper Lusatia and a politician.

family

He came from the old Lusatian noble family von Wiedebach , first mentioned in a document with Bartoldus de Widebache in 1232, and was the son of the landlord and state elder Karl von Wiedebach and Nostitz-Jänkendorf (1810–1873) and Anna Juliane Freiin von Ungern- Sternberg (1818-1900). On August 6, 1834, father Karl achieved the name and coat of arms association for himself and his descendants with " von Nostitz and Jänkendorf ".

Wiedebach married on July 25, 1876 at Gut Reichenbach (Oberlausitz) Hedwig von Seydewitz (born January 5, 1854 at Gut Reichenbach; † January 20, 1928 at Gut Arnsdorf), the daughter of the royal Prussian Real Privy Councilor and Chief President Dr. hc Otto Theodor von Seydewitz , Lord on Biesig , and Hedwig von Kiesenwetter , Fideikommissherrin on Gut Reichenbach.

His oldest brother was Governor Karl von Wiedebach and Nostitz-Jänkendorf (1844-1910).

Life

Wiedebach was the master of Arnsdorf and Hilbersdorf in the Görlitz district in the Prussian part of Upper Lusatia . He was governor of the Prussian Margraviate of Oberlausitz, from 1886 royal Prussian chamberlain and master of ceremonies , from 1911 to 1918 a member of the Prussian manor and legal knight of the Order of St. John .

After the death of his father-in-law and President of the Upper Lusatian Society of Sciences , Otto von Seydewitz, Paul von Wiedebach and Nostitz-Jänkendorf was elected President of the Society in 1899, which he chaired until his death in 1923.
