Paula Jo Weishoff (born May 1, 1962 in Hollywood ) is a former American volleyball player and today's trainer. With the national team , she actively participated in the Olympic Games three times and a fourth time as an assistant coach.

Paula Weishoff grew up in California and played volleyball at West High School in Torrance . In 1980 she played with the USC Trojans , with whom she won the AIAW National Championships. Since 1981 she played in the senior national team , with which she won the bronze medal at the World Cup in Peru in 1982 and the silver medal at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles . She then played professional volleyball for nine years in Italy in Cassano , Modena and Reggio nell'Emilia . In between, she had several missions in the US team, u. a. 1986 at the World Championships in Czechoslovakia (tenth place) and at the Goodwill Games (bronze), 1991 at the World Cup (fourth place) and in 1992 at the Olympic Games in Barcelona (bronze). In 1994 Paula Weishoff played in Brazil and in 1995 and 1997 in the Japanese team Daiei Kobe . With the national team she won the World Grand Prix in 1995 and was seventh at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta . Weishoff also played sporadically at national beach volleyball tournaments.

Paula Weishoff has been a volleyball trainer since 1999. a. at the USC Trojans . Since 2010 she has also been the assistant coach of the US national team, which won the silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London .

In 1998 Paula Weishoff was inducted into the " Volleyball Hall of Fame ".

Paula Weishoff is married to Karl Hanold and lives in Huntington Beach in California ..
