With the exception of the cover versions “Nothing Going On” ( Clawfinger ) and Time to Run ( Phantom Blue ), all tracks on the album were composed and written with the help of Kivi. The arrangements were made in collaboration with Kivi's band.

criticism

Overall, the album received very negative ratings from music critics. The obvious calculation was rated negatively. Many songs would appear "constructed from front to back and as if they were created on the drawing board".

Matthias Reichel from cdstarts classified the CD as a “thoroughbred hard rock album ”. Kivi is based on the early 1980s and tries with a "deep, roughened voice to get an authentic idea of her new profession". The result could not be convincing, however: “The songs are solid, but have neither significant finesse nor really good melodies. The riffs and solos [...] sound like [...] heard umpteen times [...] and unfortunately always very similar ”. Kivi has to be careful “that it doesn't sound like a second-rate edition by Doro Pesch and Joan Jett ”. All in all, the Estonian debut album is "just a sobering attempt [...] to change the musical camp, which is boring after the second listening session and is difficult to take seriously".

Stormbringer , an online portal for everything to do with hard rock and heavy metal, evaluates it more positively: Kivi's debut moves “between classic rock, hard rock and sleaze metal ”, and the singer's voice, moving in the middle register, is powerful and expressive. “There are still no real over-hits to be found, but there are just as few compositional failures.” Overall, Kivi does not have to “hide behind the numerous male competition [...]”.

On the other hand, the album was rated positively by the rock magazine Rock Times . Their reviewer Moritz Alves described the music as a “groovy, timeless rocking metal sound garment” paired with an expressive organ.
